Про новый Bentley Mulsanne уже известно достаточно много, но теперь британская компания решила представить усовершенствованный twin-turbocharged V-8.
Двигатель окажется под капотом оригинальных Mulsanne, Turbo R и S2 Continental, характеристики которого по потреблению топлива и выбросу СО2 улучшены на 15 %.
Однако у двигателя технические характеристики никак не изменились, он по-прежнему развивает 505 л.с. и 1 020 Нм крутящего момента уже при 1 750 об/мин. Эти цифры опираются на новую автоматическую восьмиступенчатую коробку передач, которая позволяет Bentley Mulsanne разгоняться до первой сотни, за 5.1 сек.
Новый V-8 действительно новый, включая поршни, шатуны и коленчатый вал. «Выпуск нового двигателя занимает практически 30 часов» — говорят в компании.
Mulsanne будет запущен в продажу этим летом, предложит 114 цветов кузова и 24 цвета интерьера. В комплектации автомобиля имеется круиз-контроль, датчики дождя, 8-дюймовый цветной монитор с высокой разрешающей способностью, жесткий диск на 60GB, спутниковая система навигации и т.д. и т.п.
