Компания Mazda начнет выпуск гибридных силовых установок, разработанных с использованием технологий концерна Toyota. Соответствующее соглашение между двумя компаниями уже подписано, сообщает официальный пресс-релиз Mazda.
Автопроизводитель планирует совместить технологии, используемые в Toyota Prius, со следующим поколением собственных двигателей под названием SKY1, которое в настоящее время еще находится в разработке. Таким образом, гибридные модели Mazda могут появится в продаже на японском рынке уже к 2013 году.
По планам компании, гибридный двигатель позволит к 2015 году сократить расход топлива автомобилей на 30 процентов по сравнению с показателем за 2008 год, что поможет привлечь новых клиентов и сохранить существующих.
Компания Toyota стала одним из первых автопроизводителей, выпустивших на рынок серийную гибридную модель — Prius. Она выпускается с 1997 года, и за это время было реализовано 2,3 миллиона машин более чем в 70 странах. В России официальные продажи «гибрида» стартовали только в конце 2009 году с появлением третьего поколения. В прошлом году в нашей стране было приобретено всего 30 «Приусов».
