На крупнейшей германской выставке классических автомобилей Techno Classica, проходящей в Эссене, Volkswagen презентовал новый — вкусный — продукт. Причем к автомобилям он имеет лишь косвенное отношение. Крупнейший европейский автопроизводитель выставил напоказ… кетчуп.
Рецепт приправы был составлен в 70-х годах прошлого века компанией Kraft и подавался работникам завода Volkswagen в Вольфсбурге. Современный кетчуп выпускается в бутылочках, украшенных рисунком классического Beetle. Стоимость такой бутылки составляет 3 евро.
Стоит отметить, что немецкий автоконцерн отнюдь не новичок на рынке пищевых продуктов. С 1997 года VW торгует кетчупами — и довольно успешно: только в 2009 году было продано 425000 бутылок. Новая же «модель» будет достаточно эксклюзивным продуктом, поскольку первую партию ограничат тиражом всего в 1000 бутылок.
