В Федеральной службе судебных приставов РФ (ФССП) заявили о введении новой карательной меры в отношении «злостных» должников – теперь их планируют лишать водительских прав. Как отмечается, приставы намерены добиться, чтобы подобная санкция применялась к гражданам в пятидневный срок после того, как их признает неплательщиками суд. В то же время эксперты считают введение такой меры произволом, поскольку водительских прав можно лишить только за грубое нарушение правил дорожного движения.
В ФССП в свою очередь апеллируют к Европейской конвенции, позволяющей ограничить права гражданина, если тот нарушает закон, права и интересы третьих лиц. В службе приставов также подчеркнули, что лишать водительских прав граждан будут только на основании судебного решения, и отметили, что использовать эту санкцию будут лишь в крайнем случае.
