Объявление о продаже болида Шумахера оказалось подделкой
Объявление о продаже чемпионского болида Михаэля Шумахера Benetton B194 на интернет-аукционе eBay, скорее всего, было подделкой. Такое мнение высказало швейцарское издание Motorsport Aktuell.
В описании к аукционному лоту утверждалось, что это тот самый автомобиль, на котором Михаэль Шумахер столкнулся с Дэймоном Хиллом на финальном Гран-при сезона в Аделаиде. О возможности купить эту уникальную машину написали практически все автомобильные издания мира, и стоимость болида выросла до 2,6 миллиона евро.
Аукцион должен был окончиться в понедельник, 16 ноября, но уже 13 ноября веб-страница с предложением просто исчезла.
Такое же объявление появлялось и раньше, но не на аукционах, а на тематических сайтах. Так, 30 июля на форуме сайта autosport.com появлялось аналогичное объявление (частично с теми же фотографиями) о продаже болида, который при этом находился в США, и продавался неким Джеймсом Рэйзером всего за 500 тысяч долларов. Уже после того, как стало известно о выставлении болида на аукцион, тот же пользователь сообщил, что машина продана.
При этом и в объявлении на autosport.com, и на eBay в описании болида была допущена ошибка: указывалось, что автомобиль оснащен системой трекшн-контроля, тогда как его использование в «Формуле-1» было запрещено, начиная с 1994 года. Кроме того, хотя в обоих объявлениях утверждалось, что это тот самый болид, что попал в аварию на последнем Гран-при сезона, никаких видимых повреждений на фотографиях не было заметно.
В то же время на eBay появилось новое объявление о продаже болида Benetton 1994 года, но на сей раз в качестве расположения автомобиля указана Англия, а не Канада. Начальная цена лота — 1,15 миллионов фунтов стерлингов.
В отличие от предыдущих, в новом лоте предлагается к продаже шасси Benetton B194-05, которое использовалось Шумахером в начале сезона, а не в конце. При этом на машине, по утверждению продавца, был проведен ряд модернизаций: заменены коробка передач и топливный бак, полностью обновлена электроника и установлена система безопасности HANS.
Продавец машины, некий Б. Шредер, не ограничился страницей на eBay, и создал сайт, целиком посвященный продаже этого болида. Срок продажи должен истечь 22 ноября. На утро 16 ноября цена лота составляла 1,8 миллионов фунтов стерлингов.
