Очередной вехой в истории итальянской мини-модели Fiat 500 стала сборка 500 000 экземпляра этого автомобиля на заводе в Польше. Знаменательной событие состоялось спустя 21 месяц после запуска модели на автомобильный рынок. Юбилейная модель получила 1.2-литровый двигатель, оснащенный системой старт-стоп и белоснежный кузов Funk White.
Новый Fiat 500 продается в 83 различных странах мира, от Италии до Бразилии, и от Южной Африки до Японии.
По утверждению компании самым продуктивным рынком для новой модели стал итальянский, где было продано 244 755 единиц, далее следует Франция с 58 425, Великобритания с 51 445, Германия с 48 319, Голландия с 13 682, Швейцария с 10 765, Испания с 10 103, Бельгия с 9 548, Япония с 9 030 и Австрия с 8 648 единицами.
В ближайшем будущем в планах Fiat Group запустить продажи Fiat 500 на американской стороне, в этом стремлении компании должен помочь Chrysler.
