Согласно JATO, организацией занимающейся подобными исследованиями более чем в 40 странах, Fiat обошел такие компании как Toyota (130.1 г/км), Peugeot (133.6 г/км), Renault (137.5 г/км), Citroen (137.9 г/км), Ford (140.0 г/км), Opel/Vauxhall (148.9 г/км), Volkswagen (150.4 г/км), Audi (160.9 г/км) и Mercedes (176.4 г/км).
В дополнение к этому Fiat сообщил, что в скором времени выпустит двухцилиндровый Twin-Air для Fiat 500, который получит 85 л.с. и выброс CO2 на уровне 95 г/км.
Другими уже доступными решениями компании являются технология Multiair для бензиновых двигателей, которая на 25% сокращает эмиссию CO2, в то же самое время на 10% увеличивая мощность.
