Польская компания Solaris разработала интересный городской автобус с отдельным пассажирским прицепом.
Машина разработана совместно с швейцарским кузовным ателье Hess, которое и построило пассажирский 9,8-метровый прицеп – специально для сцепки с низкопольным городским автобусом Solaris Urbino 12 LE. Таким образом, длина стандартной 12-метровой машины увеличилась почти вдвое – до 23,6 м. Это значительно больше, нежели у обычного сочлененного автобуса Solaris Urbino 18 длиной 18 м. Соответственно возросла и вместимость. Автобусный поезд может перевозить до 155 человек, имея при этом 83 места для сидения.
Примечательно, что машина уже продана немецкой транспортной компании Verkehrsgesellschaft Kirchweihtal GmbH и будет работать в качестве школьного автобуса между городами Кауфбайрен и Миндельхайм. Интересно, что все новое – это хорошо забытое старое. В 50-е гг. в Западной Европе были широко распространены городские автобусы с прицепами, ведь сложного механизма сочленения («гармошки») тогда еще не придумали.
