Бриаторе не признал личную вину в сингапурском "крашгейте"
Бывший руководитель команды Формулы-1 Renault Флавио Бриаторе отказался признать «личную вину» в инциденте с аварией Нельсиньо Пике на Гран-при Сингапура 2008 года, сообщает Autosport. В то же время Бриаторе подтвердил факт урегулирования конфликта с FIA по этому поводу, а также то, что он добровольно отказывается от любой формы участия в Формуле-1 до конца 2012 года.
По версии FIA, в 2008 году Флавио Бриаторе, возглавлявший Renault F1, во время Гран-при Сингапура попросил Нельсиньо Пике устроить преднамеренную аварию, чтобы помочь лидеру команды Фернандо Алонсо. В результате Пике врезался в стену, а Алонсо выиграл гонку, во многом благодаря «вовремя» выехавшей машине безопасности.
Спустя год сам Пике рассказал о случившемся представителям федерации, и 21 сентября 2009 года, по итогам проведенного FIA расследования, Бриаторе был пожизненно отстранен от участия в автоспорте, а главный инженер команды Пэт Симондс получил дисквалификацию на пять лет. В ответ Бриаторе подал апелляцию в парижский суд, и 5 января она была удовлетворена.
В понедельник, 12 апреля, Международная автофедерация выпустила пресс-релиз о внесудебном урегулировании конфликта с Бриаторе и Симондсом. В нем утверждается, что FIA отказывается от дисквалификации участников скандала, и не будет апеллировать решение суда.
Взамен Бриаторе и Симондс признали свою долю ответственности за организацию преднамеренной аварии во время Гран-при Сингапура 2008 года, выразили сожаление по этому поводу и принесли FIA свои извинения. Кроме того, они взяли на себя обязательства воздерживаться от любых ролей в Формуле-1 вплоть до 31 декабря 2012 года, а также от участия в любых других чемпионатах FIA вплоть до конца сезона 2011 года.
В своем заявлении Флавио Бриаторе подтвердил факт достижения договоренностей, но интерпретировал их по-своему. «Бриаторе подтвердил, чтобы принимает долю ответственности за сингапурские события, так как в тот момент он был управляющим директором Renault F1 Team, но не признает какую-либо личную вину в этих событиях и не признает, что решение Всемирного совета, вынесенное в отношении него, было обоснованным,» — сказано в обращении.
